Hello,

I've got a strange problem;

I received some dvdr's that are missing the AUDIO_TS directory. But that isn't a huge problem, because in 99,9% there isn't anything in it, so I can copy and create those dirs myself.

But... on the same dvdr's also the video_ts.vob's are missing, and that's a bigger problem. Lots of dvd players still play the movies but some players can't handle those discs and freeze.

Those discs were all made with Instant Copy 7.x

And how is this caused ?
And more important how can I solve that ?

Re-Authoring those discs in DVDShrink helps a little but not everything will be included in this re-authored discs...

Get an empty VOB file and rename it to VIDEO_TS.VOB. Then use ifo edit and strip VOB id's from the VIDEO_TS (select everything so nothing is in fact stripped). Copy the new files back to your original DVD folder.

Use IfoEdit to get the VTS_SECTORS. and of you go one playable DVD.

How odd. They must be movie only backups, and I'm surprised IC would make such a glaring omission.

On second thought, maybe I'm not so surprised.

I believe the old (and I believe still free) version of DVDFab will create dummy VIDEO_TS files for you. It's a simple 'click this button' operation, so you might find it easier.

IC7 often ommits blank VIDEO_TS.VOBs. There are some threads on the matter here.
Although it's not a problem for most players, it beconmes a REAL problem when you try to burn 'em.
Thansk Kedirekin for the simple yet invaluable solution :)
