bitrate/file size problem???

hey guys i'm new to this furom...

just wondering everytime i rip a dvd and put it on 2 svcd the file size of the mpeg is always to big to burn...i dunno how to set it up probably..i set the cd size 2 800mb but it still goes over... i did 740 (74mins) but the file size for the end product was like 770mb ..any help on how to set it up properly or anything???ta

It depends on your movie length as far as I understand. Determine the length and maybe you should try 3 CD's of 74min (650Mb) instead of 2x 80min (700Mb).
Pay attention 740 in DVD2SVCD means 74 minutes and not 740Mb, the same ofcourse for 800 (80 min. and not 800Mb).

Maybe you'll already understand and isn't this the solution, but I did not get that from your question.
