I've tried to find a thread but can't seem to find the one I need.

So this is my question, very simple and hopefully a simple solution.

I want to edit my subtitles in .srt format, mainly I want to change the font and size of my subtitles. How can I do this?

I need to use .srt for my conversion with DVD2SVCD, because conversion from an AVI to SVCD including subs won't work with .ssa (see my thread in DVD2SVCD Basic ...).

I know how to change fonts etc. by converting from .srt to .ssa, but now I need to know how to change the fonts of a .srt file and saving it as a .srt file.

If you read the supported formats.txt file in the docs folder this is how you specify formats with the textsub plugin on ones like srt/sub files etc..

I found this and tried to edit the file.
It worked and indeed created and .style file, but I'm not know with this, so my question is :

Is the .srt file now edited itself? So when I use the edited .srt I get smaller fonts (as I edited)?
Or does the .style do this in playback or something like that?

In short: What is the .style file and is the .srt now changed itself?

Sorry that's not the quote I selected.

It was a quote about using VobSubs subresync.exe in a other thread.

SubRip format does not support font typeface or size. You can bold, italicize, underline, set color and even position, but nothing else.
