i have 2 files that need to be resized but id like to not reprocess the whole film , is there anyway?

I guess that what you want to do is cutting an mpeg2 files in two pices ?

In this documet you hav an explanation of some advanced TMPG operations like cutting, muxing, demuxing, etc
You also have some tip of other programs who is enabel to do the cutting..

Resizing (=changing the resolution) is not possible without re-encoding.

If you are jsut wanting to make the file a little smaller de-mux and use Rejig on the m2v. It allows you to choose a percentage. Its fast and accurate. A m2v that was 3.3 gig took 12 minutes to reduce it to 60%.
