I've been trying to get my audio and video to match for the last week and found no solution. The problem is that if I save the file as wav in virtual dub with full processing mode and try to match with the compressed mpeg it wont match, because the compressed mpeg gets a bit seconds less and also less frames than the original avi. No idea why. I've tried to use virtual dub as frame server, it's odd but I get division by zero error in tmpgenc if I try to get audio from virtual dub, only video work. The audio I'm trying to get is a VBR mp3 from a XVid file. Wondering why I cant get audio from virtual dub frame server (divided by zero error) and also a way to get the sync with audio & video in the final mpeg.

You will probably have to time stretch the audio. You need to find the exact time value of you audio and video and then use a audio app to adjust the audio time to match the video.
