Hi all. I have a Divx AVI I am trying to conver to MPEG2.
I use AVI2DVD feature in DVD2SVCD.
I encode using CCE.
I use 1 pass VBR
create vaf file
Image Qual Priority = 17,
Q Factor = 5
Bias = 20
Field Order = Automatic

The problem is that I have a sort of "jump" every about 2 seconds.
The image stops for a millisecond and the restarts... it is not fluid.
Any suggestions about how to solve?

Thx in advance

Is the jump present in the source file? Meaning the file that CCE gets, not neccisarily the original .avi. It could be that Avi2dvd is trying to convert the framerate for example and is introducing the error.

It could also be that the GOP structure is wrong, but that would most likely play fine on your computer and only present a problem on playback in a standalone. Try setting you GOP to 3/4 if that is the case.

No, I have this problem every 2 or 3 secs. It's both on PC and standalone.
I'll try the GOP setting.

Thx
