View Full Version : GKnot only encodes the first five minutes of the movie

Today I've tried the Xvid Codec for the first time. I used Nic's binaries from 16-07-2003. I followed the guide to the letter and put in some high quality settings. The strange thing is that the encoding proces seemed normal and took pretty long, but that I ended up with a file of roughly 16 MB with the first five minutes of the movie (which looked good). What have I done wrong?

Hi-

We'll need to see the GKnot log file.

And you might want to move this thread down to the GKnot Forum, Teegedeck.

Yup, post your logfile and, although Tee is very good at moving threads, im sure I can manage it too ;) lol

If the GKnot guys think this is a weird XviD problem, they can move it back.

Cheers,
-Nic

I tried again and now it did work. The only thing different now was that I didn't do a compressibility check. In the log file it said that it had only found 5000 or so frames of the 160000 of the movie.Somehow I must have set somewhere that the program only had to encode that part. Anyway it did work now. Thanks for your help.
