just so ya know, the protexis key is binded to the current pc only, you cannot use that on other pc's, since it uses hardware activation

Like in "DivX" or in "Dr. DivX" ?
I tested a registrated version of Dr. Divx a while ago, and after restoring a Ghost-Image and one of my memory modules broke, I can't activate Dr. Divx anymore (I could only do that twice, and after my previous activation code wasn't accepted.)
No worries for me anymore, since I now use the adware version of the codec (i wasn't using dr divx anyway), and it's easier to update.
But still ... suppose my windows XP would react the same if the memory ammount dropped by half.
Then I wouldn't be typing this here. (or be in a bad mood  )

I didn't create or make the rules of activation mate, just telling the guy who made the post about them, if you have issues with divx networks activation process or number of reinstalls, you should really take it up with them

Huh?
Nono, ... I wasn't ranting to you (or DivX-networks). I was just wondering if it was about Dr. Divx or the standalone codec, that's all.
Hmm, my post could be interpreted that way ... sorry, should be more precise next time.
And i have no issues with DXN, I just don't use Dr. Divx anymore, (or maybe I'll try again if I have the same amount of RAM again.)
Peace! :D
