Hi everybody:

I encode NTSC interlaced movie. Movie seems to be encoded well, only at the beginning of the movie right after you start playing the movie you see one interlaced artifact. I tried almost everything, but it didn't disappear. Then I tried to make a DVD2AVI project with swap field order in Field Operation even if I don't know what is it for and that interlaced artifact seems to disappear after encoding. Could somebody tell me what is "swap field order" in making DVD2AVI project really used for?

Thank you.

"Swap field order" is typically used for PAL content where the order of the fields in the frame is inverted. Content that needs it will appear to be interlaced.

Hakko504 describes its use in www.doom9.org/ivtc-tut.htm.
