Hi.
My cce(2.67.00.11) crash at the end of every encoding. I've got windows in danish so ill try to trabslate the error mesage as good as i can:

CCE SP Trial Version -- D:\svcd\CCE_Project_file.ecl: cctspt.exe - Program error
The instruction at "0x0d294075" reffered memory at "0x0db84b88". The memory could not read.
Press ok to exit the program

I have reinstalled cce serval times and have changed to version 2.5 and 2.6 and so on.
I dont thing i have a memory leak as i have 512mb of ram and i am only encoding a 1min of video in Avi2svcd.

I have had that problem too...
i think my slow amd-k62 was that...

I also get this error even with a different CPU's and a different motherboard (AMD 1800 & 2400, 1Gbyte mem). The error occures at the end of each stage i.e at the end of the first pass then at the end of the multipass before the pulldown. If i select OK on the error message it will wait several seconds and then proceed to the next stage (using docce4u). The end result is a working conversion but it just stalls at each stage. I need to do some more testing but i think you'll find the error only occurs with NTSC source and not PAL. What version of Avsynth are you using? I have a suspicion it occurs with Avsynth 2.5 and not with 2.0 as i never used to get the problem, but i need to do some more testing. I thought i was the only person with this problem as i have not seen it mentioned before.

waoh...

I thought that Problem was eliminated, but yesterday shows me, that its not!! Shit! Exactly the same problem again! An error at the end of the first Multipass! hmm...

A Friend told me to uninstall CCE and DVD2SVCD, and to install it again! I will do that now...

Try this...:( ;)

I have exactly the same issue (running on P4 2.5 Ghz with 1 GB RAM). The weird thing is, that I never had this problem 'til yesterday.

I'm actually converting some avi-files (25 FPS -> PAL!) and everything went fine. Then at some point I got that same strange behaviour you mentioned.

The only thing I changed on my system was installing my new TFT-Screen

I'll also do some more testing. First thing is using another template from DoCCE4U (Multipass instead of RoBa). If that doesn't help I'll give it a try without using DoCCE4U.

P.S.: actually it doesn't matter whether I'm using DoCCE4U 1.0.1.5 or BatchCCEWS 0.9.1.0, same behaviour.

Quick Update from my side:

the error didn't occur when using the Multipass VBR template from BatchCCEWS instead of RoBa.

Well, quite strange somehow, maybe re-installing BatchCCEWS/DoCCE4U and CCE will fix this....

Update: it crashed at the end of the last pass....strange....will try now CCE alone without BatchCCEWS

Re-Installing CCE and BatchCCEWS Didn't work for me unfortunately.

Also I'm not dealing with DVD2SVCD, I'm actually encoding some avi-files to MPEG2.

This errors occurs not on all encodes, but I don't know what's wrong.

Looking in VirtualDub at file information, the files all have the same resolution (I resize via AVS for DVD), 25 FPS and 192 kbps AC3, but for some reason CCE gets stuck with some of these files

That's not the problem, 'cause my CCE 2.50 is properly fixed and I'm actually using version 2.66.01.07

The problem doesn't occur permanently, it only happens with some AC3-containing avis I'm converting to MPEG2. There seems to be a glitch with some of these files I'm dealing with, but I wasn't able to find out 'til now why it works with file x, but not with file y as they all are encoded the same way.

The encoded files also work well, it's only that CCE stops with that mentioned error after the creation of the vaf-file and after that when finishing the last encoding-pass.

Did this work?

I didn't know that there was a discussion of my little app over here.

I've recently switched to avisynth 2.52 on my 2.8GHz P4. I'll try some tests and see if I can recreate what's going on.

Hello.

It seems I'm not the only one having problems with your "little app" (actually a great app). And I still can't get it to work. And I can't get CCE to work with the ECL files generated by either DoCCE4U or BatchCCEWS. And yes, 2 or 3 months earlier I could get it to work without any problem at all. I changed my configuration as told in the following threads (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=61539 ) and (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=62739) and never could get it to work again.

Maybe there's a hidden problem. I know it must be very difficult to find a problem that just happens to a few users, and that maybe has to do with us, users, and not the programmer. But is there someone out there that has a clue about what's happening. Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you

MM

After hours of searching I finally found a solution, try to delete the ",false" option in the avisource line of the Avisynth Script

Example:
Avisource("blabla.avi",false)

this gives me errors,

Avisource("blabla.avi")

this line not!

Dont know about the backgroung.

Good Luck.

It is very difficult to correct a bug that I can't recreate. I would appreciate it if you could send me the two ecl files, the one from dvd2dvdr (if that's the right program) and the one from BatchCCE.

You should be able to send it to my email at BBWoof@woofsoft.com

nope, didn't work either, but I think it must be a problem with the AC3-sound inside the avi-files.

I also switched to recent AVS Version and maybe I'll test it again with that version.

However I don't think that it's a problem with BatchCCEWS :)

Interesting point, I'll have to check that.

Don't know if I had that "false-parameter" in my script, 'cause I use FitCD to generate the lines I need for avisource and the resize-stuff.

I upgraded to recent AVS Version, but had no time to encode so far.

BUT, I saw something which tells me already before encoding that I will run into this error: when adding my script to BatchCCEWS it shows everything like it should be (right resolution/framerate/length...). After adding the script and doubleclicking it again for editing, everything's messed up: file is shown with 240 frames and wrong resolution. Hitting the AVS-Editor button shows an error like "ACM failed to suggest appropriate audio-codec" or something like that.

I figured somehow that this doesn't happen, when I leave the "add-audio" lines from my script (which is only needed when using mpeg2dec3.dll AFAIK and I also don't need it here 'cause of encoding AviSource). However GSpot tells me that all needed codecs are available (rendering in Gspot also worked).

And I also set the "false-parameter" in the AviSoure-line in the script (it's not placed automatically by FitCD).

With these settings I think there should be no problems, at least in my case when dealing with converting avis to mpeg2.

again some news on this annoyance..... :D

I figured that this error also likes very much to happen when converting avis that contain vbr mp3 audio.

Sure, audio is not passed to cce, but however it likes very much to hang on these kind of files, even when using the false-parameter in AviSource, which should disable audio....

After doing some testing I have come up with the following. The problem only occurs when the source file is Divx or Xvid. I use Fit2CD to create the AVS script. If the source is a D2V file using AVS script then it’s ok. As for the audio, it has no effect on the error in my testing. The error always occures on Divx/Xvid source regardless of it being VBR, CBR or AC3.

Not only xvid or divx .. i'm using batchccenews and cce 2.67.0.23 and at the end of the vaf pass it happens .. and then it's a bit randomly. I really want to use this method but i haven't found a workable way to use it.

I have a Barton 2500+.

My CCE error, is one of those windows general protection error .. damn.

I haven't still found a way to this error. And yesterday i found a friend who has exactly the same problem. We're working with m2v files (from DoItFast4U). We've tried all the versions of DoCCE4U and BatchCCEWS we could think off. The exact same problem happens always (it always crashes either at the end of the creation of the VAF file or between passes in a multipass encoding).

Does any of you know of a way to circunvent this problem. We're not running serial ATA or RAID configurations; tried all we could think off. Any help will be aprecciated.

Sincerely

Damn .. is realy seems to be a random error.

EDIT: It is happening to me again .. i thought it was from avisynth, but it is not. I was trying to copy Blackhawk Down again, and at the end of the 2nd pass .. cce crashed .. i'm getting a bit fedup with this.
