Clicking on avi crashes explorer

I'm using WinXP SP1.
Suddenly, whenever I click *CERTAIN* avi's, explorer crashes.
It happens mostly in any avi file I created using DivX 5.x, but not with other avis.

I cannot drag any file, I cannot right click nothing!

sounds like they're corrupt, or at least they're appearing that way to windows.

there's a registry patch that fixed the winXP autopreviewness.

Nop, I already know about the patch, I always use it that way.

Finally after play around with the error report service I found the error was with xvid.dll :confused:

I removed xvid, tried and worked just fine. Then I reinstalled the *SAME* version (Koepi 14052003-1) and now it works just fine.

Don't know what was wrong.
