Hello,

I did an encode of 4 pass vbr of a movie with CCE.

http://server2.doom9.org/mpg/images/cce-outputsettings.gif

At the screen above, I have Video files checked and also ES checked, but both with different output filename.

When the encode finished, I noticed I have two files:

1. T1.mpv 3,940,309,680 bytes - Modified September 30, 2003, 8:19:18 PM (from the Video files field)
2. T1a.mpv 3,940,295,720 bytes - Modified September 30, 2003, 11:19:52 PM (from the ES field)

I do not know which one is the correct one to keep (one's bigger size, the other's created later). Usually, you can only input one output file, i dont know why I have two.

Any comments?

I don't have 2.5 installed, and that seems to be what you are using, so this is just a wild stab in the dark:

The larger file is supposed to be a video+audio file, but as there is no audio it's just the video file with a different (larger) header.

Perhaps try running both files through bitrate viewer and do a comparison.

Use the ES version. The other contains an audio header. In the future, enter your file name to save in the top box and the rest will follow (accept your file name as the default). If you want, you can demux the larger to get an elementry stream. This will be the same size as the first.

Thanks guys, I took a chance and used the smaller file and ouf, it's the right one.

Now I use same filename for both, so I can save 4gb of space :)

Thanks again.
