I have been messing with this program for a while now, and still cannot seem to get it perfect. Here's my situation:
I am capturing movies off my Directv receiver. The movies are telecined. I want to burn them to DVDR, but am experiencing stuttering problems.
What are the correct settings for a telecined clip for conversion to m2v+wav? I assume I want to keep the 29.97fps telecined structure, but there is no setting for that (or one that I could find/understand). When I select interlaced, it seems to mess up the field order on the telecined frames, and the result is a jerky mess. Unfortunately, the field order reverses in the middle of the clip, so simply setting it to the other field order doesn't work either.
I've been searching for a decent TMPGEnc guide, and so far have not found one. Can anyone give me some guidance?
