I Have an AVI File, using NanBDub i can split it but the nandub only see`s 144 Mins where the file is 150 mins when opened and run o.k using divx 2.5.
It plays fine using divx and if i cut the file using nandub it works in vcd format but alas is missing the last 6 mins that is shown in divx player.

One note, when i 1st open the file in nandub is recreates missing index files and instead of going right to the end of like 600000 bits it stops at 599000, so im guessing thats why nandub only shows 144 mins, the last 6 are missing from the index recrete, if that makes sense.

Any ideas ??????

I Hvae tried 7 different types of avi splitting tools, all of them dont work on this file, some say index not found, some say cant play file, some just bomb out.

why does divx play the whole file yet it wont split in nandub, its missing the last 6 mins.

Please help if possible,

cheers...........

hi,
most likely you have gotten yourself a corrupted file. basically it seems that the index is broken and when virtualdubmod/nandub tries to recreate it, it stumbles over a broken frame and can't re-index the whole file.
what i would suggest is that you either redo your backup (or parts of it - as if you still have the unmuxed files you can just try to remux it and see if that helps!) or try utilities like divfix to repair your avi before splitting!

i think some error is to be there @144min in the file that Nandub is not showing it.Use Virtual Dub Mod in the error mode and u can find where is the error. And there are some extended options that u can use in VDM,by which the video can be repaired.
