As a new poster I first tried to find an answer by searching ther forums--without success. Could someone offer a fix or point me to a previous thread or FAQ with the answer.
I am using the Sony DRU 500 writer in Windows XPpro. I am using Ritek Silver/Purple 1x media. After burning several DVD-R discs using both DVD Decryptor and Veritas RecordNow (as well as Windows Explorer to simply copy files.)
Suddenly RecordNow and WinExplorer fail to recognize the media. WinWxplorer changes from DVD-RW Drive to CD Drive when I insert a blank disk. DVD Decryptor will still burn a good DVD-r from either a disc to disc file copy or from a HD ISO Image.
Has something happened within the XP OS that I need to address?
