subtitles on elta 8882

hi!

does anyone know if the elta team is working on implementation of subtitle display with divx/xvid playback? i own the elta 8882 and this seems to be (almost) the only missing feature, otherwise the player is fantastic...

I've heard this was a possibility for the future.. but then again only time will tell. Personally, I'd say XviD GMC, QPel and multiple b-frames even without packet bitstream are also lacking... as is DivX3 playback without stuttering ;)

In which form the subtitle support will be implemented ?
A bitmap based subtitle format ? (sub/idx)
Or a text based one ?

For what subtitle format should I go for my divx collection, in order to play them in a stand alone mp4/divx-player ?
