TMPGEnc Plus doesn't like my AVI that is 8gig large (yeah, it's a DV-AVI file). The problem is not the DV codec since I've got one of those, but it doesn't seem to like AVI files larger than the standard 2gig limitation. VirtualDub and Mediaplayer etc plays/loads this huge one fine of course.
Anyone got hints since I really wanna encode this clip to put on DVD. Is there a quick solution? I've tried encoding small parts and joining etc, but TMPGEnc always complains about buffer problems and the final clip can't be played.

Use the VirtualDub frameserver to serve the video to TMPGEnc. VDub creates a virtual AVI file for that (named *.vdr), which can be read by TMPGEnc.
