I've searched high and low on this board and others, but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for an affordable realtime MPEG2 hardware encoder with AC3 support that would allow me to stream the baseband outputs of my DirecTV satellite receiver over my LAN.
Realistically, I'm guessing I'll be limited to using Y/C or composite outputs along with coax digital audio (that's if I get lucky). The new Sony SAT-HD200 receiver which I plan to upgrade to, however, supplies DVI-HDTV, RGB, Y/Pb/Pr, composite, and s-Video, as well as digital optical AC3 audio and analog audio.
Any suggestions? Thanks for your thoughts.
