Hi!

I'm using robot4rip and it's worked fine for me until recently. Now when it hit's the indexing/demux stage it dies. I think it's not formulating the call to dvd2avi wrong, but I'm not sure. Maybe the line is too long and getting truncated?

dvd2avi starts, but it just sits, it's not doing anything.

This is what the log says:
7:23:39 PM: Indexing with C:\Program Files\Gordian Knot\DVD2AVI 1.77.3\DVD2AVI.exe -ia=1 -FO=0 -Cs=2 -YR=1 -TN=1 -IF=[D:\DVDRIP\RecordofLodossWarA\VTS_01_1 - 0xE0 - Video - MPEG-2 - 720x480 (NTSC) - 4~3.M2V,D:\DVDRIP\RecordofLodossWarA\VTS_01_2 - 0xE0 - Video - MPEG-2 - 720x480 (NTSC) - 4~3.M2V,D:\DVDRIP\RecordofLodossWarA\VTS_01_3 - 0xE0 - Video - MPEG-2 - 720x480 (NTSC) - 4~3.M2V,D:\DVDRIP\RecordofLodossWarA\VTS_01_4 - 0xE0 - Video - MPEG-2 - 720x480 (NTSC) - 4~3.M2V,D:\DVDRIP\RecordofLodossWarA\VTS_01_5 - 0xE0 - Video - MPEG-2 - 720x480 (NTSC) - 4~3.M2V,D:\DVDRIP\RecordofLodossWarA\VTS_01_6 - 0xE0 - Video - MPEG-2 - 720x480 (NTSC) - 4~3.M2V] -CF=4 -DD=1 -MA=1 -DRC=0 -OF=[D:\DVDRIP\RecordofLodossWarA\RecordofLodossWarA] -exit

Well anyway, suggestions apprciated! Thanks!

Here's a link to the solution of the problem:

I don't think Robot4Rip yet supports DVd2Avi 1.77 and above. So stick with 1.76 and you should be fine.

v1.77.3 does not have the CLI support needed for R4R or other similar apps. And while neuron2 has added CLI support to his modification of v1.77.3, it is not compatible with the old CLI and cannot be used by R4R.

I think this is a bit misleading, coz I actually asked ppl to test that fact here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=61992 and got positive replies. So I am about to release new GK which is based only on Neuron2's version. So more testing of this would be appreciated.

I stand corrected. There are differences between the versions though and users should be aware of that.
