just tried dvd2avi-dg out with R4R ;
title is crouching tiger hidden dragon, demuxing 6 channel english track.
works fine, and the audio encoded properly in besweet to vorbis.
ill try out mpeg2dec3dg.dll in gknot now and post results.

this should work fine. I was testing it for a while already. I was only afraid that new CLI of DVD2AVI may not work properly with R4R (nothing I could do about it :) )

Tried the new DVD2AVIdg with r4r and I found one small bug. When I choose to demux track number 1 it demuxes track number 2 instead

From what I can see audio track was not demuxed at all (error message might be wrong). It tried to demux track number 1, but since new option -OM (output method) was probably set to 0 which means "No demuxing" - nothing was demuxed...
Can you confirm - was there _any_ audio tracks after R4R was done working?

P.S. I'll ask TheWEF to change that (now that I know what exactly to be done).

No there were no tracks after this rip but I think thats simply because there was not a 2nd audio stream (track number 2) on the DVD I used.
I did another rip to test this on a Friends DVD which had 2 audo streams and although I checked the "1.English" audio track checkbox I got the 2nd one (french) on my HD. (FRIENDS_SERIES6_D3B AC3 T02 2_0ch 192Kbps DELAY -72ms.ac3)
And strangely the log file is prety much the same...

OK, I want you ro try 2 things (before I inform Neuron2 about the problem):

1) Check if DVD2AVI itself is able to demux first and second track manually: i.e. select Track 1 and then Track 2. And make sure that you used option Audio -> Method -> Demux

2) try doing that from command line by adding -OM=1 and then choosing between -TN=1 and -TN=2 (track 1 and two) to see if it works from command line...
(you have full command line in your log)

10x

29th September 2003, 21:02
I did what u asked and here's what I got...

1)Manual demux with DVD2AVIdg works fine for both tracks. (I did it first for track1 and then for track2 with option Audio -> Method -> Demux as u asked, not "demux all tracks")

2)From the commadline however demuxing is buggy.
* Using commandline from r4r log adding -OM=1 and leaving -TN=1 dumuxes 2nd track again.
* Using commandline from r4r log adding -OM=1 and changing to -TN=2 no track is demuxed
** Using commandline from r4r log adding -OM=1 and changing to -TN=0(yes zero) 2nd track is demuxed!!!

I hope this helps :)

Silly me! :rolleyes:

I've fixed this problem in beta 17. I failed to decrement the Track_Flag variable by one after parsing it. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for pointing it out.

I tried the new beta. Everything OK now.
Thank you both for the fast response, and for the GREAT tools you are giving us...

@Christos

Nothing would be possible without the efforts of those such as yourself. First, without users what is the point? But more importantly, you provide really valuable testing feedback that keeps the developer guys honest. Thanks once again. I can't find the smilie I want for you, but it is the bowing down one. :D

I don't know if this is robot4rip related or dvd2avi related but every time I use robot4rip and it opens up dvd2avi and created a .d2v file, it list the ac3 file as having a delay. But when I open up the VOB files with the same version of dvd2avi and do it manually, the delay comes back as zero. This is the second time I've had this happen since upgrading to robot4rip .5

Thanks
