Hi all
I’ve just brought a Pioneer DVD 120S, it’s intended for a PC that will sit in the lounge so quite operation is a key concern. When I fire up a DVD, this drive makes a hell of a noise. I’ve mounted it firmly so it’s not vibrating on anything, but it's still louder than my CPU fan and case fan together.
Is anyone else running this DVD rom experiencing the same problem? I am not sure if this DVD rom is faulty and need to exchange it, or if I should sell it on and buy a quieter brand.
Ps, I am also running an Asus E616, which by comparison is extremely quite. I would swap them, but I need a slot loading player.
