Hi,
I already have authored VOBs that is a bunch of episodes with a chapter at the beginning of each episode and what I'm trying to do is to create a menu in DVD-Lab that will let me select those chapters from the menu.
From looking at DVD-lab, I'm not really sure how to combine my VOBs w/ a menu.
What would be the best route to accomplish making a menu for my VOBs/IFO?

u can demux the authored vobs and reauthor them with a menu or u can follow maa's guide.

I suggest to use the minimal approach. Use DVD decrypter, everyone has one? Rip using the IFO mode. Each PGC corresponds to a title or episode. The output will be still vobs but one episode each. Use DVD-lab to demux these VOB's, into video and audio. You can join these files by a simple video editor such as Ulead Video Studio, version 6 will do, that I have got bundled. Join the episode into one movie. Use DVD-lab to add the chapter points manually.
I also have showbiz, also got it bundled. But it only knows mpg files - combined video and audio.

Callstreet has a good idea there but I would then drop each PGC/Vob into a "movie" window in DVDLab and make a menu with a button for each movie. You can choose the "demux vob" if DVDLab can't compile the output correctly.
How big are the VOBs ?
Are they already split in to episodes ?
Have you got the IFO files with the VOBs ?
Are they from a standalone ?
Too many unknowns really - give us some more info.

moneyshotz,
If you drag & drop your already authored vob in DVDLab, you will see that DVDLab will demux it on the fly for you.

Ah, I was preoccupied with joining clips into one movie and set the chapters. Of course joining hour long episode isn't practical nor necessary. But if you do that you can chapter across the episodes you joined. I got burnt by MyDVD, which can make very decent title menus, but none for chapter menus, making my chapter button on my player useless.
The vob file that DVD-lab supports is limited. Each vob file on a DVD is normally only part of a long movie. You cannot make much use of it without the ifo file, which DVD-lab doesn't support. You have to make sure that the vob that imported to DVD-lab corresponds to something whole, because it couldn't do any joining. Also vob can contain everything, or just video, or just sound etc.
