Hello and welcome to the forum.
Do us a favour and start with a bit of reading. The stickies marked "Mandatory Read" and the one marked "AVI2SVCD fails (at some point)" are of specific interest.
The problem with AVI2SVCD is that an AVI file can have endless combinations of video and audio codecs involved so without much information to go on it's hard to help.
Essentially the problem will lie either with the source avi file or the codecs and filters with which it is being rendered. Obvious but essential - check you can play the file correctly in Windows Media Player. Use DivFix (doom9.org downloads page) to check for errors in your avi file. If it is clean do the Virtual Dub resave trick described in the sticky.
As for the codecs, this is tricky. All I can suggest is that the XviD codec, and ffdshow filter I have on my system have never given me any trouble with any file. There are newer and probably superior ones out there but for stability with DVD2SVCD these have never let me down. They can be found here (http://www.nickspage.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/WESTWORLD/XviDCodecPack.zip).
Try installing these and then convert again.
