I installed DivX Pro 5.1, and GKnot fails to work.
I can't do a Compr.Test, or even to encode a movie.
VDub crashes after a short time, with the error:
VirtualDub Error
Video compression error: an unknown error occured (may be corrupt data). (error code -100)
I use GKnot 0.28.5.2.
With XVid it works fine, as with divx 5.0.5.
Please help me!

Try to register your DivX pro 5.1 version the right way ;) or use the adware pro version...

it may not be the divx version he is using. I had the same problem in 5.05as did many others. See the link to the thread here:

it may be a different problem tho, since the error code is a different one.

I have a registered DivX Pro, so that is not the problem.
I will look around, and see what is the prob.

I hate to say it, but I think it IS the legal registered/illegal registered problem. I had the same problem until I purchased the legal pro version from divx.com -- everything seems to be working fine now (on 0.28.5.3 beta). Hope this helps to remedy this problem.
Thanx.

Yeah, maybe it was the problem, now it is working fine.
I had a previously installed hacked copy of divx5.1, than I bought it, but it didn't help untill I reinstalled windows.
Don't know why, maybe some registry things.
But THX for your help!
It is good when a problem is solved.
