CCE wont start....

hello again all...

been working alot of hours this week and came home thursday to find my mobo had decided to catch fire on me. after installing a new (and better) one today, i sat down to see if i could remember everything from last week. to my surprise, cce sp trial wont startup. it loads to the taskbar and thats it....

ive tried uninstalling/reinstalling the same version, different versions, rebooting, trying to load an avi using cce but to no avail.
if anyone has any suggestions id love to hear em!

btw...if i right click cce in the taskbar and choose either move or resize, it immediately takes my pointer to the top left corner...hope that helps

hi,
sounds to me like a messed up system set up/installation. most definite way to see if this is the problem would of course be to reinstall your system.

another point would be, that something in your new system configuration (new mobo with old ram etc - at least that's how i understand it) is unstable and causes CCE to malfunction in some way. a few system benchmarks would surely help there. Sysmark and Prime95 come to my mind at first...

i just clean installed windowsXP and it seemed to correct the problem....hope it doesnt come back in a month :)
