hi,
i know how to add subtitles permanently on video but i have this problem: my subtitles r bottom of the screen. I want to add subtitles on the movie not in to bottom of the screen. Does anyone know how to move subtitles to the place i want to?...thanks

if you want to place individual subs (not position all subs in a different place on playback) this really depends on the format you use.
In SRT you could use coordinates in the line where the timestamps are, but this feature is not widely supported.
A better was is probably to go with SSA (and USF in the future :p). In ssa you have have alignment in styles or for each subtitle seperately. Just use substation alpha and you'll see, or if you want to edit the ssa in a text editor, add {\a#} in front of a text (#= number, 1=bottom left, 2= bottom center, 3 =bottom right, 5= top left, 6= top center, 7= top right, 9= middle left, 10 = middle center, 11=middle right ... in ASS its easier: alignment like the digits on the numpad:)

if its about picture subs, i cant help, but there sure is a way as well (.idx file?)
