Why there are 2 foruns for Gordian Knot??!?!?!?!

After the criation of a mailing list to alfa versions, the forum "Gordian Knot Development" loses utility...there are nothing to discuss here, the discution is for the "elite" only (in the maling list), not for the commun user who just like to be informed of the progress.

Nothing is being discussed here lately because there is simply nothing much to discuss :)

I'll be publishing new beta of 0.25.x branch in few day in this forum. Then when I see that there is enough features implemented (including bitrate calculators for ogm & mkv) - alphas of 0.29 will be discussed here as well. Alpha list is only for ppl who don't afraid to mess up the encodes completely and indeed very internal thing. Time when I was publishing alpha version every day has gone...

P.S. I think everybody is quite informed in this forum already...

i think ppl who cames to this forum like to know news, every day news..it's a tek forum isn't it?

Just talk about the alfa versions where like you talk in the maling list, what's the diference??? i can't understand it...

you'd be surprised what sorts of thing we're discussing at alpha list! We have usually two mesages per day: one - "where can I donload GK alpha", second "here:" That's it. :) Which everyday news are you talking about?

I already regret creating that list, coz initially it was intended for interactions with other developers (not only GK but Matroska ppl for instance) and for ppl doing some testing of OGM & MKV support. Both supports are not ready yet for massive testing, so that is why they are not public. I don't want to see messages in this forum like this: "I created mkv file and it was oversized, can you fix that?". When I'm ready, then everybody here will have a chance to discuss stuff, not before that...

My only objective is KNOW more about the progress of the project, just that and don't have to ask..just read every day :), like the old days...

And if you think it's better like now...it's your choice...you are the BOSS :)
