Tools used:

Adobe Encore DVD
Subtitle Workshop

I've prepared a custom format for Subtitle Workshop, which let's you convert any subtitle format to the Adobe Encore DVD text script format for further importing/authoring [ http://tr0n.org/Adobe.Encore.DVD.zip ]. It automaticly breaks lines in dialogue subtitles. Also, don't forget to convert/re-save the file to Unicode (UTF-8) format if you have special chars for your language. I use UltraEdit for that.

Tried to use this.
If there are breaklines (enter)in a line the resulting file can`t be imported into adobe encore.
If i use `Unbreak subtitle` in subtitle workshop the textlines become to long for adobe encore.Tried to use `maximum subtitle lenth` and `smart line adjust` but no succes.
Maybe you`ve got some great idea how to fix this.

I have tried to convert my .SUB or .SRT subtitle using Subtitle Workshop and loading the custom project, but Adobe Encore is not opening the file. Can help me?

Did you convert/re-save the file into Unicode format?

Yeah. I have created the new subtitle file, I open the TXT on UltraEdit and then FILE > CONVERSIONS > UNICODE/UTF8 TO UTF8.

Some characters like words: ATENÇÃO... appears like a crap and Encore gives me an error.

I don´t know, everytime I try to import, I got this error message:

(DVD Error - 19906)

No, you have to go to File / Conversions / ASCII to Unicode. That should work.

Same error.
I cannot import subtitles like iAuthor OGT or Pinnacle Impression or Sonic DVD Creator that use BMP files? Importing TXT is giving to me the same error message: (DVD Error - 19906)

Check your subtitle file if there are any errors like overlapping, 2 subtitle starts in the same row etc...

This convert has always worked for me, no matter what subtitle I used. Adobe also supports Captions Inc. and FAB subtitle formats.

Maybe the problem is special characters like à or É or Ç???
My subtitle is in Portuguese format.
