View Full Version : Can't read audio-files created by Smartripper

I've enabled streamprocessing in Smartripper, and selected the desired audio stream. So I let Smartripper do it's job and it creates a number of files, all about 250 Mb of size.
These files still have the extension ".vob". When I change the extension to ".wav", I can play the files with Windows Media Player.
However, when I try to load them in Wavelab, they aren't recognised as being audio files.

Anyone familiar with this problem??

Thanks

Seems like you've forgotten the option to demux the selected streams to a new file. I think you just get your selected streams still contained in MPEG2 (VOB) container. Try the option to demux to a different file.

Usually you get Dolby Digital (AC3) files, raw PCM (uncompressed WAV without a header) or DTS streams. At least the AC3 files have to be decoded with one of the various procedures (like BeSweet) described in the guides section of doom9.org.

Hope that helped.
