ok, like i was afraid in http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=61416 my 198,000 frame divx became 176,000 frames when frameserving with virtualdub and encoding with cce. now the audio is about 10 seconds off. is there setting in virtualdub or cce to force some sort of framesynch? any suggestions?
thanks!

If you know the exact delay you could add some blank noise to the beggining of the track to compensate.

I read to your other thread u mention that u resize the video to pal resolution (720x570) although it should be 720x576. The difference in frames u mention is very close to 29.97 -> 25 fps conversion. Is it possible that this is the case?
Have u taken an NTSC source and encoded at 25fps?

im not sure where i wrote 720x570....i was trying to get video at 720x480 (picture 720x352 with 64 borders on top and bottom) video was divx with like 23.** fps,cce encodes it to like 25 fps (thats right, isnt it?) and after encoding i ran pulldown to bump it up to 29.97

My error. I summed wrong 352+128 to 570 instead of 480. U r correct at this point.
However u must ensure that u will encode to 23.976 (NTSC) fps as the original stream. If u have changed the speed to 25 (PAL) fps u can't pulldown it. U wont get 29.97 from a pal stream.
