I checked several DIVX files using GSpot and there are 4 codecs that fit.
How does Windows Media Player pick one?

The selection is done by the "merit digit" (a number that tells how much a decoder is preferred above others...)
If you have ZoomPlayer installed, you can change this values under -> Filter Control / Management / Registered Filter Manager !

Why not use ZoomPlayer ? Its a nice app. !!!

I have it and it is a nice tool. I'm just always looking for new stuff to try out. Just about anything.
