Now from the outward appearance the DTS file is fine... plays on computer etc.

But when I try and author my dvd disc it has A problem with said files.

Error Cannot find DTS audio syncword "H:\Audio Outgoing\A Hand Of Thumbs 06.dts" at about 1 frames.
Warning Total bitrate too HIGH. Audio(1) PTS(30667) is less than SCR(48640) (around 00:00:00:16).

Now I use A DTS file created using besweet to 6 channel waves the put them into surcode DVD manually... then my dvd authoring app has no problem

My command line:
BeSweet.exe -core( -input track01.wav -output "C:\BeSweetv1.5b20\mono\temp-" -logfile c:\dts.txt ) -ota( -g peak ) -surdvd( -b 1536 -output "H:\Audio Outgoing\track01.dts" -path "C:\Program Files\Minnetonka Audio Software\SurCode DVD DTS" )

Surcode sometimes puts sync bytes 1FFF E800 instead of 7FFE 8001.
From memory this sequence is used on DTS wav files to tell the decoder that it uses 14 bit - so when played in a conventional CD player the higher frequencies are not played so as to protect your speakers. DTS added this later on in the grand scheme of things. Earlier Surcode editions may not do this?
I have had this a lot - has to do with inputted bitrates of source files. Haven't managed to track down the exact conditions to re-create this all the time.
First noticed it when trying to input into Maestro.

could you cut a small slice of those two dts files (created seperatly and created automaticly) so i can analyze it ?

you can zip it and attach to your message.

2 things

1. it says "You May Not post attachments"
2. I dont see how to post attachement

PS I think I have the answer... or the problem heh.

When Besweet calls Surcode it sets mode to DTS WAV.wav but then names it .dts

When I put the .wav's in manually I select DTS
Padded.dts
