heres the problem, i have an avi of the movie i want to put onto dvd, i used tmpenc to convert the video only[i heard the audio from that is rubbish]. i then used nandub to extract my wav from the avi and i now have the following 2 files

mymovie.m2v
mymovieaudio.wav

all went well, i opened up movie factory and added in the video, clicked replace audio, selected my wav file and then it tells me it is an invalid file :/. that confuses me. after searchimg through audio guides i used goldwave and created a new wav, and i was allowed to use it in movie factory :) [hoorah]. but before authoring i tested it and the audio is waaay off. i would rather use nandub or a similar program to get my audio :(

basically what i am asking is, what program should i use that will get me a good result from my audio and will be accepted as a valid file from movie factory

thanks in advance

You should have gotten a valid wav from nandub. Perhaps the wav is 44.100 instead of 48000 hz, but I'm just guessing. Give more info about the file for more difinitive assistance please. The best freeware program to work with audio is BeSweet. Tons of options and highly reliable. I plug for this program so much everyone wil start to think I work for DSPGuru. Seriously, it truely is a outstanding program and best of all it is free.
