I've search the forum for info about this and I haven't found anything, so here it is :

I've got a problem when i try to play video on my computer

I got kind of a jerky playback more apparent during fast camera movement(seem like some frame are skipping)

Noe I've tryed 4 differents players(BSplayer, media player, the core, divx nex gen) and is always the same thing. also, I've tryed numerous codec for divx and xvid(I got the probleme with both movie format) and even with the ffdshow codec, it is still jerky.

also, I think I got a computer that is suppose to be enough to run those movie: 1333hz Athlon with 512 RAM. in windows XP(and I got 2 instalation of XP, and it is the same in both)

It seem to be more apparent on my High rez Xvid movie like Ghost in the shell Stand alone complex and Akira in 800X448 29.97 fps

I am outputing the sound in AC3 to my receiver(for most of my movie), so I got no sound processing that should slow down my playback for those but still, movement are not smooth.

I just don't know what I can do to get rid of this problem... any help will be appreciated

thanks, but I forgot to tell that my movie are underground release by INOS that I've downloader on the net, so I assume that they must be perfectly encoded. Since I only got the Avi file, is there anyway I can check how is the ac3 encoded on a avi files?

Giving you the benefit of a doubt, I don't know who INOS is. Possibly, this artist has put out a legal movie on their official website?

If not, you're in violation of forum rule #6.

Ok, let me rephrase my question so I don't violate any rules.

What can I do to increase smoothness of playback for a avi file with ac3 sound in it without having to re-encode de file?

Is there any setting I can tweek in ffdshow configuration that might possibbly help me getting a better playback in BSplayer?

I am sorry about all that, my intention was not to promote or ask any info about illegal or piracy activity.

I was just trying to get a better playback on my computer out of configuration....

Should have read the rules....
