Still haven't got this program to work sucessfully for me yet, but tonight I came across a problem I've never seen before. My install of NuMenu4U 1.1.0.58 will not run, and just keeps bringing up the following error;

run-time error '35602'

Key is not unique in collection

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well as deleting every reference to NuMenu4U out of the registry, but still no cigar. The weird thing is I install the exact same NuMenu4U install file on my games PC and it works fine. I've done a brief compare between the NuMenu4U section of the registry and they look identical. The only things I've changed since I last ran NuMenu4U was install BatchCCEWS in addition to DoCCE4U, and delete a whole heap of IE bookmarks.

Anyway, there seems to be a lot of info on the net for this error regarding other apps, and they all seem to have a common problem in the duplication of something. I just have no idea what :confused:

this has something to do with the tree view that is shown on opening -the dvd structure, though i don't know why it should start happening now.

All versions have been plagued by various problems. Most have now been addressed and final testing is being run now, before releasing a vastly updated version.

Patience is a virtue.

In the mean time try version 1.6 on the website.

Ahh, you've given me an idea Zeul. Last time I ran NuMenu4U I was using a mounted ISO image via Daemon Tools. Last night I had a DVD in my Pioneer A05 as well as the mounted ISO in Daemon Tools. Could having multiple DVD's availble for NuMenu4U to mount be causing this error? I'll give it a shot at tonight when I get home from work and let you know. Anyway, keep up the great work with NuMenu4U Zeul :) , I only wish I could get it to work on my W2K Pro box :( .

How about that then! It was because of the two DVD's. I took the DVD out of my Pioneer and NuMenu4U fired up without a problem.

thanks brashquido

this is a situation i have never thought of - running two instances of the same disc. i often have all four available mounts used without any problems. i have thought for a while about disabling numenu4u from using a REAL dvd drive, and just accepting a mounted image. maybe this should be done as a matter of urgency - also using the drive will put extra pressure on the drive, not nice.

I think that' a good idea. HDD space is cheap nowdays, and a full DVD should take 15 minutes or less to rip to ISO on a semi decent machine with DMA enabled on the DVD-ROM. I think it's a much better idea to rip once, and use the image for NuMenu4U and DoItFast4U rather than stressing the DVD-ROM with on the fly ripping.
