Well, I have this AC3 movie wich I want to recompress for a better video quality, changing from DivX5 to Xvid. The problem is that this file has a great AC3 audio with 5 channels. So, I open that file in virtualdubac3 and recompress it. At the beginning I had problems with the video, so I installed the latest DivX5 codecs. Now, the video works allright, but... the sound is the problem. It sounds like if chops have been cut off.
When I press play on vdub it gives me this message: "The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format".
Well, I dont know if my newbiness on these matters is making me screw up, but as I think, there are no AC3 filters on the audio compression list... at least I've seen none. But I have the ac3 filters installed... so I don't know what's going wrong. What should I do?
