Hi all,

I have the following problem, since I started to use mkv I have the following problem when muxing more than one language.
Everything works fine when I playback the mkv, I can switch between subtitles, languages and chapters without problem.
But when I burn the CD in Mode2 (XCD), I can read the movie, but cannot see the audio streams... I have one movie where both streams are played together (!) and another one where only the first stream is played back...

Any suggestion ? Did you try to playback a 2-languages mkv/xcd yourself ?

I'm using gabest splitter for mkv (the one that is bundled with tcmp) and dext's xcd dshow filter.

Thanks for your help !

P.S. It seems that mkv/xcd is not working with mkvxds.dll. Can someone give me confirmation (I was thinking I read that this was working again with the latest release) ?

Correct, only Gabest' filter works with XCD MKVs right now ....

Thanks for your reply,

I made some other tests, is it correct that gabest filter doesn't handle multiple audio tracks (even without xcd) and that official matroska filter does ?
Gabest wrote (thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=54560&perpage=20&highlight=gabest%20mkv%20audio%20tracks&pagenumber=8))

No, there won't be any stream switching in the splitter, that way streams have to be identical in encoding and every parameter.

I'll check mmswitcher. edit: Seems to work as long as you have audio streams with the same channelnumber/frequency/bits.
As far as I understand that means that gabest filter won't support direct stream switching...

So what now? Do I just wait for next release of mkxds.dll that works with xcd AND stream switching (mmswitcher gave me strange results witch my ogg vorbis tracks and I don't like to add another filter for that) ?

Since then I guess I should keep using OGM container when I want to have more than one audio stream AND Mode2.

Thanks again,

Have you tried Media Player Classic? It's from Gabest as well and it has a built-in audio switcher.

You can get it here (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Players/mpc2kxp6463.zip)

You're right it works... Let's hope it'll work in other players as well (it's not that I don't like MPC and it's simplicity of use, but I like TCMP much too)

Thank you for your suggestion,
