Right I need some help

I have a flick in ogm format. It has one video stream and two audio streams.

Now using vdubmod I have been able to get the video without audio into avi format.

I have also extracted the english audio stream I want, and it is ogg format.

So I have video.avi & audio.ogg

Now the avi plays fine in media player and ogg playes fine in media player.

But I want the ogg into either mp2, mp3 or wav. Now I have read quite a few solutions of this conversion like besweet etc. Well when I try to do this file conversion with besweet it closes the program like it does not want to try. I then tried a little drag and drop program for converting ogg to wav. Well that seems like it works till you try to play the wav it produced and it wont play.

I am doing this as I want my ogm flick onto svcd, so any suggestions would be great.

Please dont tell me things that you dont even know if they will work yourself. This just leads conversations in the wrong direction

could you tell me how you did it? because i tried to transcode an .ogg to .mp3 with BeSweets latest Beta (and tried stable before)
and libvorbis.dll, like explained in this thread:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26897&highlight=ogg+to+mp3

But it still doesn't work. Besweet closes after 1 second with an Error: "error with lame DLL".

any Idea? how did you solve the problem? converting the ogg to wav would be sufficient, too

thx, Duplex

Im not sure exactly how I did it now as it was some time ago but you got me thinking. Try getting winamp and the convert to wav plugin. I think that is how I did it in the end. If not tell me and I think think somemore

Why didn't you just you just save it as a wav in vdubmod? Did it not work? Just curious.

can not remember now, I think something did not work. Did winamp work. Let me know. Actually i might have used vdubmod as I have it on my machine still. Possible. Thanks for the memory recall mate.

Anyways one of these ways should do it.

Cheers

If u have fully optimized mp3(gain,boost and all other factors),u can easily transcode Ogg vorbis to mp3 using simple tools like dBpowerAMP.(U need Ogg vorbis plugin)
This will not create delay to final mp3 output and can be easily muxed to OGM/AVI without problems.
If the Ogg vorbis 5.1 u need to use BeSweet/GUI to transcode to mp3.
