I had Monsters Inc on dvd-r just the movie made with ifo edit,so i re authored it with TMPG Author with main menu and chapter menus(motion)
and the result is smaller than the original movie.
old DVD 4.12G, New DVD 3.72G. Does anyone know why this should be?

old DVD 4.12G, New DVD 3.72G. Does anyone know why this should be? TMPGenc DVD Author only takes in 1 audio and no sub-titles. If you had more than one audio, then you had to choose which one to keep. Hence, the size shrinkage.

Yep forgot about the subtitles, (I should have known better)

Subtitle streams couldnīt make such huge difference in size! 400MB. There should be another reason for this reduction...

Yes there was a DTS track that I had left on the original. TMPG Author is a great programme I think one of the best now.
