It would be nice if you could adjust the way that DVD2AVI did its 3:2 pulldown... sometimes it doesnt do it correctly (forexample XMEN usa release [not sure about any other country]...in some scenes it just places a highly intelaced frame--like where there are fades from one frame-scene to another one.... And others it ghosts images.)

I have to use avisynth and decomb filter to properly IVTC the film back to its original standard. Otherwise images would GHOST, have comb artifacts, or jitter. It would be simpler, at least i would think so, to have adjustable paramaters in the force film procedure. Maybe im wrong, maybe it cant work that way.

Anyone with suggestions thanks.. maybeim just stupid and asking for too much(but decomb with avisyth is sloooWWWW...

Well, DVD2AVI can't IVTC at all! What it can do is to NOT telecine the video if the DVD was correctly mastered. Incorrectly mastered DVD's is handled by simply removing one field in 5 by simple counting (1,2,3,4,drop,1,2,3,4,drop,...) when you FORCE FILM. And how do you know when you have a correctly mastered DVD? Create a D2V file and run it through ParseD2V. Link to the proggie and some hints on how to interpret the D2V can be found in the DVD2AVI FAQ (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=59272)

'fraid you'll have to continue to use AviSynth even though it's slower :(
