Hi there, I was just expirimenting with backing up my DVD into XviD.
I also want to make some nice screenshots from my movie after it's being encoded. However, the problem is that the keyinterval is about 10 or even more. So i skip alot goodies when i try to make some nice screenshots. In DivX we could changed they keyframe interval back to every 1 second. That worked really awesome. Is this also possible in Virtual dub when i encode into XviD? setting the Keyframe interval to every second?
If so where and what do i have to change to get it that way?

Tnx

Greets,

In Vdub, use the shift -> (arrow key) to scroll through your movie from keyframe to keyframe. Use your arrow key alone to scroll from frame to frame.

As for putting a keyframe every second. When you choose you codec in
[Video -> Compression] on the top menu. Configure you codec setting. In the Xvid Configuration pannel, select advanced option and set you maximum I-frame interval to 30. I pretty shure this will settle your problem.
