OK, so I DLed Madden2004 for the PC but I need to be running on 256 RAM and I only have 128 at this point.

I tried using other RAM boards but they were PC100 and I'm on PC133.

My question is this:
-I went to the Kingston website where I said I would have to buy PC133 - 128 that is compliant with only a few Dell systems (I have a Dimension4300 Desktop). Is this just a line of crap? Will ANY PC133-128 or 256 do the trick?

I mean I'd rather not drop $50 on the Kingston when I can get something similiar for a lot less.

thanks
John

I'm assuming you LEGALLY downloaded that game, since warez talk is prohibited. Anyway..

Any PC133 SDRAM should do. I always buy from Crucial (Micron's retail brand). It's excellent ram, with a lifetime guarantee from a quality company (and it's made in the USA).

128MB for $24US with free 2nd day shipping, doesn't look bad to me, but I haven't followed the RAM market lately.

You could also check out the offers on Pricewatch for PC133.

At most you'll save $8 and your dealing with unknown companies and unknown quality RAM. So I wouldn't recommend it.
