I'm gonna be backing up my R1 Tears of the sun.Now when i do it i tick force film in dif4u right. then after encoding i need to apply that 3:2 pulldown thing right?

Also the disc subs are closed caption, do i need to do anything special, i know i need to tick +cc.

Theres also a folder on the disc called JACKET_P, do i need to keep this in the backup ?

NTSC material does need to be pulled down. The one exception would be the NOPULL files DIF4U sometimes creates when it comes across 29fps pgc's. And to get the CC files in your project, go into the data editor and click on your video asset. Check the Line21 box and load the .scc file dif4u created.

Hope that helped you out

Tears of the sun is NTSC Film as it comes up 99%film in dvd2avi, so i would need to force film making it 23 fps and apply the pull down so that it plays back at 29 fps right ?

yes...should be ok. load the avs file in virtualdub if you're in doubt.
