Thanks ! :)
And is there a way to know exactly what value to enter ?
Or is it only trial and error ?

Thanks for the help.
However things are not as bad as i thought.
They are worse. The audio video synch is not constant throughout the duration of the videoclip. So If i fix one part ,then i mess up another one :(
Any way to fix this ?

Can you please check out the following article by Nicky Pages ? I've found it extremely helpful.

You can, of course correct audio synch problem easily if there's a definite pattern throughout your source. But if it is haphazard then you are licked. This, of course does not happen unless your source file itself is the result of several files joined together.

Thanks a lot, man, nice link.It is a dirty job , to manual synchronize a stretched audio problem, but at least now i know how.
Now its that, or trying to re-download the file from somewhere else !
Many thanks in any case :)

Check out the length of the files. If audio and and video are not the same try time stretching in a audio app like cool edit. Also check the cc code. Sometimes people mess with them and it can wreck havoc on audio/video sync.

Hi, echooff.
CoolEdit200 is a nifty program, but isn't a freeware and, therefore, has a nasty habit of refusing to save your work after a 30-day period. I've found GoldWave can do the stretching ('Time Warp') but not with the precision of CoolEdit2000.
D'you happen to know of any other freeware program that can stretch (or contract) audio streams by percentages like 0.9986% or 100.0021% ?
Regards.

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of knowledge on audio apps. I own cool edit pro 2.1 and am just learning how to use it. Since I got my copy Adobe has bout it and renamed it Audition. Did you check the fourcc code in the file. I had a file where the audio just wouldn't sync. Since the file was useless to me I decided to play around with it and when I changed to code it synced up perfectly. btw, When I changed the code I was no longer trying to fix it. I was curious what the changes would do to the video.

Hi echoof
Sorry to take so long to resume. My machine abandoned me in the meantime.
Exactly how did you go about changing the fourCC code - what did you do?
Thanks and regards.
