heya guys!

well i am one believing in the great advantages of hardware based mpeg2
decoding and since i am going to move out quite soon and wont have
a pc ready in my flat, i am curious if it is possible to let the
standalone player output its video right into a pc tv card and watch
it on the pc monitor then, nice hardware decoded.

before anyone may ask, nope the option of just using a player like
powerdvd to fullfill a pc internal dvd watching task is not even
interesting for me ;)

would be great to get osme feed back and possible suggestions
what card to buy for that task.

cya

Personally I like Pinnacle PCTV PRO series card, go ahead and check it out >> http://www.pinnaclesys.com/ProductPage_n.asp?Product_ID=103&Langue_ID=7

Edit:
I think I've misunderstood your question; actually you're looking for some sort of external Video Adaptor, hmm,I guess that you need something like this then XGA Theater (TV-4000) (http://www.advancedmediaproducts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AMP&Product_Code=XGA)
