First off, thanks to the authors for producing these tools, they work great. However, I'm having a few issues. I'm following this guide to the letter http://doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/ra-guide.htm

I've done 5 discs now using this method, and every one of them has search problems. When I load the final product into powerdvd 4.0 and try to advance through the movie by clicking on the navagational slider, it will only move from chapter to chapter. The original will move between chapters, anywhere I click. What could be causing this?

The second problem is disc specific. In one of my stand alone dvd players, the disc will load but it goes right to the video and starts playing the first scene. If I take the same disc to my other stand alone dvd player, it plays exactly like the original dvd, shows the logo, warnings etc, then goes to the menu. What should I check/fix to avoid this in future backups?

The navigational issue has been discussed more then once in the forum. If you search for it, I'm sure you can find it.

For the other problem: if one player plays your disc fine while an other (standalone) player plays it exactly as intended I think the problem is in the player not the disc. Obviously the ifo commands are right otherwise your other player would have the same problems.

I'll search again then. Hopefully there was a solution and not just discussion.

Yes, but the original dvd plays correctly in the first stand alone player, so something's going on with the copy that's causing it to play improperly. The player that the copy works in is a fairly new apex, the one that screws up is a pioneer from around 1999.
