I read that if the percenatage is FILM 95%+ or NTSC 5%-, i should use force film, otherwise i have to invertelecine.

Is this correct?

So i have a screenshot of my DVD2AVI statistics, can someone tell me what the percentage is?

Hi, TerryHau. The screenshot says NTSC. That might mean that the source is indeed interlaced as a whole, or it may also be just badly telecined. The only way to know is to look at the frames.

This guide will show you how to interpret what DVD2AVI is telling you and find out what to do:

Note that this only shows the percentage 21 seconds into the video. You might only be seeing the statistics for the studio logos, which very often are strictly interlaced.

What I like to do, if I'm feeling up to it, is set the start point past the opening logos and start credits, then save the project (saving is faster than preview). I watch the stats as it saves. This requires focus - save can take 5 minutes, and that is a really long time when you're staring at one thing.

If the video type changes to NTSC for more than a blink of an eye, I know that it's not safe to use Force Film. Though as r6d2 mentioned it may be safe to put it through IVTC.

Hi-

And as implied, but not stated directly yet, when no percentage is listed, it's 100%.

And I agree with Kedirekin; the preview is too slow. And if you just watch the preview for a minute or so, the results may be skewed by the NTSC of the studio logo or other pre-movie stuff. So by using the slider and the "[" button, you can start past that stuff and get a better idea of what the main movie is like. But don't forget to put it back to the beginning when saving the real project file.
