I hope someone can help me out as i have some serious problem.

I just backed up a dvd, updated usinf ifoupdate v072.But for some reason the dvd thinks the scene selection menu is the main title menu.
The vts set that has the movie in has two pgc, the film had vobid 1 and 2 the second pgc had vobid 3, now the backup the film is vobid1 and the second pgc is vobid2.The second pgc i think has something to do with the nav of the disc as the pgc is 00:00:00;10.

Its like the disc has some nav problems.Instead of going to the main title menu it goes straight to the scene selection ,but once there i cant do nothing, it just sites on the scene selection screen. Also if i select audio/lanauges it will hang.

I tryed opening it in dvd shrink and that gives me a error invalid nv_pck_vobu_eu

I hope one of you kind people could help me out with my problem

Oh i forgot to mention, i shrank the menu down with dvdshrink, then copyed just the menu to the new compiled folder.

I think i may have found the problem.

I removed the menu file VTS_02_0 that dvdshrink made a replaced it with the original menu and now it works fine in power dvd and ifoedit.DVD shrink still gives soem error when you load the files into that.

But now the dvd is to big to fit on a dvdr.I blame dvd shrink for this.

we're working on integrating NuMenu4U more closely with DoItFast4U, but even in it's present state, it may be another solution to your menu reencoding. Personally, I leave menus alone.

Yeah i normally leave menus alone myself, its just this menu was 568mb.I dont think im gonna be using dvd shrink to compress the menus again after it gave me these problems.

DVD shrink still gives a error message when i open the files in it, but power dvd and ifoedit play it fine.

Is there anything i can do to get it to fit with out having to re-encode the movie from scratch.Theres nothing to rip as disc one is movie only.

you shouldnt have to reencode the movie from scratch. Using eclcce, just load up the .ecl of your main movie PGC, reduce the bitrate a bit, and do another pass on it (set it for 1 pass VBR and to use info from previous passes). Should take you about an hour and you'll have your reencoded video at the new bitrate, plus you'll have one more pass than last time, so it should be good quality.

Oh and if the movie is ntsc and progressive, don't forget to pulldown afterwards.

OK cheers i might give that ago then.I know what a ecl file is, but whats eclcce?

DVD shrink giving me errors, should i just forget about the error that gives as the newly authored dvd works in ifoedit and power dvdfine.

most likely you can ignore those errors. eclcce is an app by RB that allows you to use CCE 2.6+ with ecl files. If you're using CCE 2.5, then you can just use CCE straight.

Well in that case, i have to revise my answer--

Nope, not that I know of!

btw: never ever delete your files until you have a working image file!
