delaying audio in a part of divx file!!!!

I encoded vob files to divx of 2hrs, the audio is in sync till 1hrs, but after this the audio is exactly 3 sec out of sync(audio palys too early) and is consistent till the end. I did cut the file exactly 1hrs apart. I delayed the 2npart by 3sec, and this part works fine.
If i apend the 2 files, again the 2nd part is out of sync from 1hr onwards..
I feel that the vob 1 and 2 hd a constant delay, vob4 and vob 5 hd a different delay... so thats the problem.

Now how to solve this.. or i hv to live with 2files.

Check the length of the audio vs video. If these are not exact in the 1st file it can cause this problem. You may have to use a time adjuster (like cool edit).

i got what u said, the 2nd file hs a delay of 3sec, so take this in cooledit and adjust the same, but the prob is, CE hs to recompress the mp3 file agin, and when i append file 1 and 2, i get err saying that vbr bit rates are diff from 1 and 2. so am struck here

You should not be using vbr audio in a divx. Perhaps you should change the audio in part 1 also
