Cannot close CD

I have a pioneer 105 burner and I cannot close or finalize multisession discs with ANY software. I mainly use nero or roxio but as it's a DVD burner I have a plethora of rcording software, all of which works fine as for my DVD's. I have 2 HD/s and have reformatted and reinstalled xp pro on one drive and just installed easy cd on its own, to prove it's not a software conflict. All firmware and software updates are current. Can anyone help Plllllllllleeeeeeezzzzzzzzz.
